Aurender has released V4 of its Conductor control applicaiton for iPad, iPhone, and Android. This is code that has been rebuilt from a common code base for all devices. The below post is from Aurender in the Audiophile Style Aurender forum. Look for more information in the future.
Some new views in the app
Ok folks, this is the moment we've all been waiting for - Introducing Conductor V4, now accessible on iPhone, iPad, Android Tablets, and Android Phones!
Up until this point, Aurender's software team has navigated the challenge of developing and maintaining four distinct apps across four distinct platforms. Clearly, this was inefficient and confusing.
Two years ago, Aurender made a bold decision to embark on a "Destroy & Rebuild" mission. Some of you may have noticed a slowdown in Conductor App development during this period. After all, why invest in an app that was nearing its end*?
Dedicated to innovation, Aurender's development team has been diligently rebuilding the app from the ground up. However, this time, it's constructed on a fresh and scalable cross-platform architecture (Flutter, for you devs out there). Any new feature or modification is now automatically integrated into the user interfaces of each device. This represents a major milestone, and with the dawn of the V4 era, we anticipate rapid and efficient development.
At first glance, V4 may not appear drastically different from the familiar user interface cherished by Aurender users. This is intentional. Our initial objective was to seamlessly replicate the existing experience on the new platform. Now that we've accomplished this mission, it's time to start implementing the long list of new features, third-party integrations, and User Interface improvements that we have collected and prioritized!
Rest assured, uncompromised audio performance remains the paramount focus of Aurender's core identity. If there is any potential risk of a new feature compromising sound quality, that specific feature will be withheld from implementation until a solution that ensures audio integrity can be applied.
We wanted to share some of the backstory with the Audiophile Style community first. Stay tuned for more "mainstream" details on "what's new with V4" in the next few days.
