Loudspeaker and audio specialists Monitor Audio have this week announced that they have acquired London based hi-fi and audio solution manufacturers Roksan Audio. Coming at the end of a year when Monitor Audio launched their new Platinum II loudspeakers and expanded its custom install series and other speaker ranges, the deal further exemplifies the success of the company in 2016.
Having begun life in Cambridge – and now based in Essex – Monitor Audio has grown to be a world renowned producer of speakers and other audio accessories, and in achieving this acquisition has now added another well-respected brand to their product portfolio.
Roksan Audio, after all, is itself a highly reputable provider of loudspeakers, amplifiers and streaming source products, having originally made its name with turntables such as the Radius. The acquisition, then, is major news for the audio industry in the UK and was announced by the following statement on Monitor Audio’s Facebook page:
‘Monitor Audio are delighted to announce the acquisition of ROKSAN AUDIO, a well-respected manufacturer of amplifiers, loudspeakers and streaming source products. Like Monitor Audio, Roksan is a British company committed to superior audio performance with a reputation for design excellence, premium quality and exceptional value. We share an incredible synergy between our two product ranges and our business cultures. We are excited about the possibilities this acquisition offers. Further information to follow.’
